Orphans Feted at Shower
HQ., U.S. 7TH INF. DIV., Korea (PIO)-Thirty
Korean orphans were recently feted at a shower held in their honor by
the men of the 2nd Bn. 31st Inf. Regt. The shower
was the ordinary kind-with water. The kids were bundled into trucks
at the Ah Hoong orphanage and were driven to the 2nd Bn.
shower point. After the shower, the children were examined by battalion
medical airmen and received presents donated by Maj. Charles E. Pritchard,
battalion commanding officer; Sgt. George F. Lamanth, LaFontaine, Ind.;
Pvt. Herbert Daufman, Brooklyn, N.Y. and SFC Mathis Talmage, Fullerton,
La.
The shower was arranged by Capt. Russell Fairbanks,
Witchita Falls, Tex., 2nd Bn. S-4 and Chaplain (Capt.) Harry
G. Campbell Jr., Cooperstown, N.Y., 31st Inf. Regt. Chaplain.
