Dear Mrs. Stone:

Tonight as I came away from mail call I had a feeling of elation. I had received a number of letters, but these letters were all of a special type, They were letters of encouragement for our project of orphanage aid.

We are in receipt of your check #467 to the amount of $10.00 for which we express our heartfelt appreciation. We are but middle-men in this project. We can do no more than the people at home do for us in sending food, clothing, supplies, etc. Over here we donate our time in construction, etc. and our payroll donations. But the majority of aid is sent by interested Americans like yourself.

Realizing the part that you people at home are playing in our projects we express our gratitude for the aid you have sent.

FOR THE ORPHANAGE COMMITTEE
