For three consecutive days during the Christmas season, men of the 1st Marine Regiment brought truck-load after truck-load of undernourished Korean school children to the command post for wholesome Marine Corps meals. To top the day off, each child was given two sets of woolen underwear, a shirt and trousers or dress, as the case warranted, and pencils and pads for their school work.
