Jersey Chief Sets Clothes for Koreans Month for Collectors

With 2d Log Com-When New Jersey's Gov. Alfred E. Driscoll recently proclaimed August as "Collect Clothes for Korea" month, he was following in the footsteps of another Jerseyite, Capt. Clifford G. McKeon, Perth Amboy, a member of the Civil Assistance Section of the 2d Logistical Command.

Through McKeon's efforts and enthusiasm, clothes, toys, money and medical supplies have been received from such places as Akron, Ohio, Atlanta, Ga., Palm Springs, Calif., and even from Moscow, a small town in Idaho. Besides being "god-father" of the Happy Mountain orphanage in Pusan, McKeon has given the "Children's hospital" a guiding hand.

Governor Driscoll proclaimed August "Collect Clothes for Korea" month and urged the people of the state to lend effort to the success of the drive. He pointed out the survival of the homeless who are without clothing depends on the generosity of their friends to the West.
