1st Battalion All Out For Orphans' Party

WITH 24th INF DIV IN KOREA- The 1st Battalion of the 21st Infantry regiment collected over $1760 in a drive for a Christmas party for orphans at Kumamoto, Chaplain (Capt.) G. W. Hyatt wrote friends in Tokyo.

The chaplain wrote the battalion's collection compared with a $600 collection for the rest of the regiment. Breakdown by units in the 1st Battalion was: Headquarters Company, $285; Company A, $303.70; Company B, $131, Company C, $366.75; Company D, $505; Medical and Chaplain's Sections, $129; 2nd Platoon; Heavy Mortars, $123.
