Immigration Troubles Hit Sailor, ROK Orphan

HONOLULU, T.H., Oct. 20 (AP)- Navy Chief Boatswain's Mate Vincent T. Paladino ran into immigration troubles yesterday on his arrival from Japan with a 4-year-old Korean boy he hopes to adopt.

The 35-year-old sailor from New Rochelle, N.Y., said Korean authorities gave him permission to adopt Lee Kuing Soo, a little war orphan.

An official Republic of Korea passport was issued to Lee Paladino who said he applied for an American visa two months ago but it had not yet been processed.

Paladino is due to report at the Navy School at Treasure Island in San Francisco bay. He planned to leave the youngster with his parents in New Rochelle.
