Navy Chief, Waif Arrive in States

SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., Nov. 12 (INS)- Navy Chief Boatswain's Mate Vincent T. Paladino reached the American mainland today-after one false start-with his adopted four-year-old Korean son.

Paladino who found the little war orphan a year ago on the streets of a Korean port landed with his son in a Mars flying boat at Alameda Naval Air Station on San Francisco Bay after a flight from Honolulu.

The smiling bachelor-father and the boy-clad in Navy uniform complete with service stripes-walked hand in hand from the flying boat.
