Ambassador Takes Gifts For Korean War Victims

WASHINGTON, May 26 (AP)- Korean Ambassador and Mrs. You Chan Yang accepted more than half a million pounds of clothing today for Korean war sufferers donated by the people of Washington and surrounding areas.

Officials directing the drive, which was under the supervision of American Relief for Korea, a civilian organization seeking 6 million pounds of clothing throughout the United States, said they expected the Washington contributions to reach 750,000 pounds before the collections are completed this week.

The Washington contributions included substantial gifts from the White House, including a pair of sturdy shoes which President Eisenhower has been wearing on the golf course.
