Koreans Get 300 Tons of Houston CROP Gifts

HQ, KBS, Mar. 5 (Pac. S&S)- Three hundred tons of food, clothing, and medical supplies for needy Koreans donated by citizens of Houston to CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) were delivered to Church World Service representatives in Pusan yesterday.

As the gift-laden freighter Norman Lykes docked in Pusan, a festive harvest dance" was performed by 18 Korean children, while military, United Nations, and Korean dignitaries stood at the pier to welcome the cargo.

Dr. H. D. Appenzeller, Church World Service director, immediately turned over the relief shipment to Ham Tae Young, vice president of Korea.

Young told a shipside gathering: "This shipment symbolizes the friendship felt by the citizens of Houston for the people of Korea and we will long remember this great act of friendship."
