X Corps To Deliver Christmas Presents To Korean Children

WITH X CORPS, Dec. 14- More than $1,500 has been donated by X Corps troops to purchase Christmas gifts for some 7,500 Korean school children in the corps area.

The gifts will be distributed to the pupils in 32 Korean schools on Christmas day.

A TRANSLATED MESSAGE written by Chaplain (Col.) John J. Mullaney, Lockport, N.Y., will be in each package. It reads:

"The men of the United States Army are giving you these gifts today because it is Christmas day. In America we celebrate the feast of Christmas because it was on the first Christmas night that Jesus Christ, the son of God, was born into the world. It is a day of rejoicing and a day of happiness and our joy, we make our friends happy by giving them little gifts."
