500 Orphan Visas Available

ZAMA, Japan, Jan. 22- Five hundred special visas for entrance to the U.S. are available for orphans adopted abroad by members of the armed forces or persons working for the U.S. government, AFFE headquarters announced today.

These non-quota immigrant visas for "eligible" orphans under 10 years of age are provided for in a law passed by the last Congress and will be in effect until the end of 1954.

Security forces personnel planning to adopt children in the Far East Command area are advised to contact their legal assistance officer or the nearest U.S. Consulate for complete information.
