809th ENG. AVN. BN., KOREA. . . .
. "To build airstrips and bridges isn't our only task here in Korea",
says Chaplain (Capt.) J.A. Stewart of the 809th Engineer
Aviation Battalion. He is shown above as he presents a check to
the manager of an orphanage near their base in Korea. The check
was presented to the orphanage to buy food. It was in the amount
of $300.00 collected by the men of the 809th during payday.
