Marines Bundle Off Orphan

Keller of MAG-11, Marine Air Control Squadron One of MAG-11, looks at a bundle of clothing and other gifts collected by MACS-1 for Eo Su Ill, a Korean orphan better known as “Jimmy.” Men of MACS-1 have been making regular drives to get gifts for Jimmy, the adopted son they had to leave behind when their unit was ordered to Japan from Korea.

JIMMY STAYED two years with MACS-1 after he was found wandering on a beach during the Korean conflict. When the outfit left Korea, the men found a foster home for the boy, and then started the campaigns to collect gifts. Each time a drive is made, one of the men from the unit makes a special trip to Korea to visit Jimmy and present the gifts.
